About Me
Dr. Frederick Preston is a retired educator having received numerous awards, including recognition by the U.S. Congress. Over many years he brought the same passion to his photography. Describing his works as “a form of folk art infused with a touch of nature,” Fred’s worldwide travels provided extensive photographic opportunities. These experiences also cultivated his particular interest in historic architecture and outdoor public art. His most recent book publications include ARTE DEL PUEBLO: The Outdoor Public Art of San Antonio, and Historic Doorways of San Antonio, Schiffer Publishing.
Dr. Preston resides in San Antonio, Texas, where his daughter, Lisa, also lives nearby.
