About Me

Dr. Frederick Preston is a retired educator having received numerous awards, including recognition by the U.S. Congress. Over many years, he brought the same passion to his photography. Describing his works as “a form of folk art infused with a touch of nature”, Fred’s worldwide travels have provided extensive photographic opportunities. These experiences have also cultivated his particular interest in outdoor public art and historic architecture. His work has been featured on NPR, KSAT-TV (ABC Affiliate), and in Texas Monthly and Texas Highways magazines. Also, his most recent book publications include ARTE DEL PUEBLO: The Outdoor Public Art of San Antonio, and Historic Doorways of San Antonio, Schiffer Publishing.
